The Vicksburg Main Street Program announces its 2014 Downtown Vicksburg Christmas Parade of Lights. The parade will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2014 beginning at 5:00 p.m. This year's parade theme is "Christmas on the River". All area Clubs, Churches, Organizations, Schools, Dance/Drill Teams, and Businesses are encouraged to take place in this community parade.
The Vicksburg Main Street Program is proud to announce their 5th Annual Bricks and Spokes Bike Ride to be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014, in beautiful downtown Vicksburg. Participants will get to experience our beautiful bluffs and rolling landscapes while participating in the event.
Whether you are just starting out or an expert rider, Bricks and Spokes is a great ride for you! The 5th Annual Bricks and Spokes will feature a 10, 30, 50 and 62 mile ride. All rides will begin in beautiful Downtown Vicksburg and will travel south to the Old Mississippi River Bridge.
The Vicksburg Main Street Program is pleased to announce a new addition to our downtown family! Real estate agents and developers Mary Jane Wooten and Daryl Hollingsworth have recently purchased the former Warehouse property where they plan to renovate the building to include mixed use retail and 17 units for corporate and long term rentals. Their new business venture named Live! Work! Play! – Downtown Vicksburg will offer units that will have a "big city flair" that will appeal to a clientele that would like cosmopolitan luxury while residing in downtown Vicksburg.
We will be holding the First Annual Miss Mississippi Sporting Clay Tournament on June 13, 2014 at the Turcotte Shooting Range located at 506 Highway 43 South Canton, MS 39046. The funds raised will benefit the scholarship program for the 2014 Miss Mississippi Pageant participants.
A Sporting Clay Tournament consists of teams for 4 members shooting clay targets that are released from 12 stations.
The cost for a team of four shooters is $500. Individual shooters, who will be assigned to a team, can shoot for $125. Sponsorship of one of the 12 shooting stations is $1,000 and includes signage and hospitality/networking booth at the station.
VICKSBURG, MS - The Vicksburg Main Street is proud to announce that we will host the Miss Mississippi Parade on Monday, July 7th, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in downtown Vicksburg. Come support your favorite contestant. The parade begins at Washington and Veto Street and will travel North on Washington Street to Mulberry Street.
